Chrysler - 1924-1925 : Stamped on left rear frame.
Chrysler - 1926-1930 : FEDCO numbers stamped on plate attached to instrument panel, either in the centre or to the left of the instruments.
DeSoto and Plymouth - 1929-1930 : FEDCO numbers stamped on plate attached to instrument panel, either in the centre or to the left of the instruments.
Dodge Brothers - 1915-1928 - Stamped on frame under right front fender and on plate on toe board near steering column.
Dodge Brothers - 1929-1930 - Standard serial numbers or FEDCO numbers stamped on plate attached to instrument panel, either in the centre or to the left of the instruments.
On all models the VIN plate was attached to the passenger side door jamb from 1931 to mid-1946.
In 1946 the VIN plate was moved to the driver's side door jamb.
In 1968 the VIN plate moved to the current location on the driver's side of the dashboard visible through the windshield.
